Who is Genner hoel

Lovely pancake house in Southern Jutland

We took over Genner Hoel on 1.1.2012

Our thought when we first saw the place was that the old buildings fit perfectly into a cozy pancake house. We took the big leap, quit one of our regular jobs, bought the place and our dream came true. We moved our family from Central Jutland to Southern Jutland, to create something together, create what since March 2017 has been full-time employment for both of us, as well as leisure jobs for our 3 children. In addition, we have hired a lot of wonderful employees during the summer. Over the years, we have had more and more guests for each passing season, and are very grateful that people never get tired of eating just our pancakes. The concept is still exactly as we created it in the autumn of 2011 in our utility room in central Jutland, before we moved here, and with only a few adjustments along the way.
We quickly settled in Southern Jutland, and now really enjoy our lives here. We love to have people around us and be busy, and at the same time we also enjoy the tranquility of the winter, where we have chosen to keep Genner Hoel completely closed.
We are entrepreneurs, and simply love to start new things, and opened on 13 June 2015 Sønderjylland’s first, and perhaps even Denmark’s most beautifully situated climbing park – HighPark Sønderjylland.

2018: Expansion of Highpark Sønderjylland, and a new playground / climbing area for the little ones
2019: We opened our amazing adventure golf course on July 13th.
2020: The nest was inaugurated, our unique overnight stay in the trees. The power poles at the campsite were replaced. Corona and all the restrictions were an unwelcome guest, not the funniest conditions to run a business with. It also meant that we could only open 6 weeks later than usual.
2021: We got a new roof on the pancake house when the old one could no longer. Corona continued to set the agenda, which in turn meant postponement of our season opener, this year by 4 weeks.
2022: At the start of the season, we have expanded HighPark with our climbing track no. 6, and got a new roof on our service building.

We are crossing our fingers that in 2022 we can finally say goodbye to Corona, so that we can continue operating without restrictions.

We look forward to greeting you.

Sincerely and goodbye
